INK-1
9" tall, round form, clear glass, ABM cork top with original metal pour spout &
cap. This is a large master ink. Embossed around base : " SANFORD'S INKS "
Bottle has 99.99% of original label left. There are two corners that have small
pieces missing and a few stains from where the ink was spilled on the label.
These are not bad, please see pictures. Bottle is in mint condition and does
have about 1/3 of the ink left in the bottle. Bottle does have some dirt on the
neck and shoulder area that would clean off easily. I did not what to take a
chance of ruining the nice colorful label! On each side of the label are
advertisements for different Sanford's products. $50.00
EARLY 1800's INKWELL: INK-2 1
7/8" tall, conical shape, 2 1/8" at the top tapering down to a 1 1/2" base. Base
has a nice 1/2" open pontil scar. The top has been tooled and pushed down into a
funnel that extends 3/4 of the way inside of the bottle. Nice cobalt blue glass
with some crudeness and small bubbles. Bottle is in mint condition with only a
spot of inside dirt or ink that would clean out with some TLC. A great early
inkwell in a very rare color! $100.00
 INK-3 2" tall, 2" square base, clear glass, ABM, round cylinder neck with a square
footed base. Embossed on four panels around base: " SANFORDS " /
" FOUNTAIN " / " PEN " / " INK ". Condition of bottle is mint with no chips,
cracks, stain, scratches or dings. SOLD
INK-4 2 1/4" tall, 2 3/4" long. Clear glass figural
barrel form. Has 5 rings on each side of a stone ground lip. No embossing. Base
has a ring like pontil ( smooth ) so bottle sits upright and to one side for
use. Looks like it is a three part mold. Please see pictures. Glass is very
crude and clean. No stain, haze, dings, or cracks. About 1/3 of the ground lip has some
chipping
due to the stone grinding process. Please see picture #2. I would consider this bottle to be
very near mint since there is no damage from use.

 INK-5 2"
tall, with lid on. Base & shoulder dia. is 2 3/4". BIM, screw
top, with a smooth polished lip and smooth base. Clear glass,
square form with a brass lid that has a access slider for a pen. Lid also has a
glass pen guide attached on the inside. Only embossing is on the base and
reads : " JACOBUS PAT. / NOV. 10, 96 ". Glass has some crudeness.
Near mint condition bottle
except for a small chip on upper corner edge. Still a
wonderful ink well. $45.00
INK-6 2" tall, lt. aqua glass, BIM, with a ring lip and a smooth base. Shoulder of bottle is indented for
one
pen rest. Very unusually shaped ink bottle! Please see pictures. No embossing. Bottle is
in n-mint condition with the only problem being some lt. outside and inside
haze and even that is being finicky. Still, a very nice bottle.

glass, BIM with a crude ring lip, slightly crocked neck with a smooth base. Shoulder is indented for two
pen rests. No embossing. Glass is full of crudeness, bubbles and texture! A mint bottle
with character, as you can tell by my pictures! $20.00
INK-8 2 3/8" tall, cork top, white glaze, square form pottery,
stoneware ink
bottle with a ring lip top. Indented on shoulder for one pen rest. Another

INK-10 Rare Inkwell 2 1/2" tall with top (roof) on,
Triangle shaped, molded glass with a brick pattern and rock all around inkwell
and shingles on the roof. There is a door on the back panel. Clear glass that
has been painted to look like bricks, shingles, and rock. Please see pictures.
Embossed on the base : " BLOCK HOUSE / FORT PITT / A* D*
/ 1764 / COLL BOUQE / PITTSBURGH PA " Super mint
condition with no paint loss or fading. This is a very rare & unusual inkwell.

INK-11 2 1/8" tall, 2" x 1 3/4" base.
Second bottle from left in first picture. Light yellow green
glass, wonderful color! Ring lip and crocked neck with a smooth base. Shoulder is indented for two
pen rests. No embossing. Glass is crude! A mint bottle in a
great color. Bottle does have a little dirt in the pen rest area but not bad. My
picture does not do the color of this bottle justice. Very nice piece.

INK-12 1 3/4" tall, Lt. teal color glass,
umbrella ink that has 8 panels. I was told that this ink was made to go into a
well or traveling case and that is why this bottle never had a lip. The top of
the bottle has been ground with a stone and does have a flake of glass missing.
Whittle and crude glass make this a nice umbrella ink. No
embossing. $85.00
INK-13 3 1/2" length from base to lip, Seam over ABM,
light yellow / green glass, triangle form
bottle with a round neck & lip. Smooth base. No embossing. Bottle does have some
inside dirt that would clean and a chip on the shoulder, just under the neck.
This can be seen in picture #1 No other chips, cracks, dings, or stain.
Some nice crudeness to the glass! $25.00
INK-14 3 1/8" tall,
BIM, with a ring lip and smooth base, there is also a ring around the shoulder
of the bottle. light yellow / green glass. The shape of this bottle is very
unusual. Super mint condition with
some inside dirt that would clean with a scrubbing. Quite a few bubbles and
stretch marks in the neck areas. No chips, cracks, dings, or stain.
No embossing. SOLD
INK-15 2 1/4" tall, light yellow / green glass, round form ink bottle
with a tooled ring lip and a smooth base. No embossing. Nice crudeness and
swirls to the
glass. The neck of the bottle is also sunken into the shoulder area to make it
uneven. Nice bottle with a lot of character, not to mention what a nice color
this one is also. Mint condition with only a small spot of haze in the shoulder
area. Only mentioned for accuracy. No problems at all. $25.00
SMALL MASTER INK:
INK-16 6" tall, BIM, yellow
olive green glass, round form
ink bottle with a crude tooled ring lip that has a pour spout . Bottle has a smooth base.
The embossing is on the front only and it reads: " OMERTS' / picture of a
pen resting on a triangle ". Nice texture
to the glass and what a great color! Super mint condition!

 TRAVELING INK
BOTTLE:
INK-17 1 3/4" tall with case closed, bottle is aqua glass
and rectangle in shape. This ink has a ground and polished top and a smooth base.
Case is metal that has a dark red leather cover. Button on front of case
releases catch that opens the lid. Please see pictures. Inside of case is green
but does have some paint lose and very mild rust on the bottom inside. Bottle
seal is intact and does have two cracks. Bottle has very crude glass. One chip
on shoulder is the only problem and it looks like it has been there since the
bottle was made. A very rare item that one does not see very often, complete and
in this near mint condition.

yellow / green glass, square
form ink with a crude tooled ring lip, a slightly crocked neck and a smooth base. Not
embossed. Shoulder is indented for two pen rests. Glass is textured and crude,
base is uneven! A very clean, mint specimen. Has some inside dirt that would
clean with some TLC. No problems!

color glass, BIM with a crude tooled lip and a smooth base. Not embossed. One pen rest.
Nice
crude glass with texture and some small bubbles. Bottle is in mint condition. No chips, stain, cracks, or dings.
There is a small, in the making, burst bubble on the left back corner of the pen
rest. $18.00
LARGE MASTER INK: INK-21 9 1/4" tall, cobalt blue glass with
lighter color in the shoulder area. Bottle has a tooled
lip that has a pour spout. Bottle has a smooth base. Embossed in a square: " S. S. STAFFORD'S INKS
/
MADE IN U. S. A. / THIS BOTTLE CONTAINS ONE FULL QUART ". Bottle has a few scuffs
but no chips or cracks. There are a couple of spots of inside dirt that look
like they would clean with some TLC. Also, there is one spot of stain that runs
from the top of the shoulder to the base on the left side of the bottle, shown
in second to the last picture. A nice
large ink despite my over accurate description.

SMALL MASTER INK: INK-21A 6" tall, cobalt blue glass with
lighter color in the shoulder area. Bottle has a tooled
lip that has a pour spout. Bottle has a smooth base. A smaller sized master ink
that is not often seen. Embossed in a square: " S. S. STAFFORD'S INKS " / "
MADE IN U. S. A. ". Bottle has a few scuffs and a pin point ding near the
base on the back side of the bottle. The lip has a dark spot in it. (potstone?)
No cracks, scratches, or stain. SOLD
INK-22 2 3/4" tall, 2 3/8" base. Dark strawberry
puce color glass, round ink bottle that is
a seam over ABM and smooth base. Un-embossed. This is an old
bottle with nice color and has darker swirls of color in the glass as
shown in my pictures.

INK-22B (Bottle on right in first picture) 2 3/4" tall, 2
3/8" base. Light greenish / yellow color glass, round ink bottle that is
a seam over ABM and smooth base. Un-embossed. This is an old
bottle with nice color and a lot of bubbles in the glass. Also, some nice wavy,
unevenness to the glass!
Super mint condition! A great, crude collectable ink bottle.

INK-23 71/4" tall, BIM, with a double collar rig lip, lt. sun
colored purple glass. Very nice square form with protruding corners that make
the panels look sunken in. Embossed on front panel: " SANFORD'S / SMCO
(monogram) / INK'S " base is embossed: " PATENTED JUNE 2 - 91 ". A nice mint
bottle with no faults at all, good color. SOLD
INK-24 Master Ink 9" tall, without original cork. Round
form that has 3 bands around the shoulder and base of the bottle. ABM bottle
that has the original cork that is attached to a wooden top. This is a label
only " Western, Master Ink" bottle with the only embossing being " 32 OZ. " on
the shoulder. Bottle and label are in super mint condition and has most of the
original ink left in the bottle. Ink was made by Caldwell Ink Co. San Francisco
& Oakland and as the label states, among other things : " Made in California
under the most favorable climatic conditions in the world " No fading or
staining of the label, just a couple of very light scuff marks upon very close
examination. NICE! $55.00
INK-25 5 3/4" tall, lt. olive green glass, square form with
slopping shoulders and camphor corners, BIM, with a ring lip & smooth base.
Embossed on front only: " TREMONIA / (within a circle) a figure of a horse &
rider / WSAG ". Near mint condition, this bottle does have a couple of small pin
point pings on one of the back corners. Also, has some light scratches. No other
problems. Still, a very nice master ink bottle that, I am told, comes from
Europe. SOLD
INK-26 2 1/2" tall. Base is 1 1/2" wide. Vibrant, cobalt blue
glass. Square semi house shaped ink with (4) slopping shoulders. ABM bottle with
a smooth base. Embossed on two of the four sides " CLAR - O - TYPE ". Bottle is
super mint condition!

INK-27 2 1/2" tall. Base is 1 1/2" wide. Orange amber glass. Square
semi house shaped ink with (4) slopping shoulders. ABM bottle with a smooth
base. Embossed on two of the four sides, first side embossed: "UNIVERSAL (along
shoulder) / BRISTOL'S / RECORDER / INK"
Second side embossed: "THE BRISTOL CO. / WATERBURY /
CONN. U.S.A." Bottle is near mint condition with some light scuffing and ground
marks. No chips, cracks, dings or stain!
